Last week, I shared the article, “How to Position for the Coming Recession” by Robert Huebscher. This article was created from an interview with Brian Smedley who is the Head of Macroeconomic and Investment Research at Guggenheim Partners. This article suggested that indicators are pointing not only to a recession as early as mid-2020, but that it could look like the downturn in 2001 or 2008 with 30%-40% losses.
This week, I wanted to share the opposing view in the article, “No Recession on the Horizon” by Brian Wesbury and Robert Stein of First Trust Advisors. In this article, not only do they feel the path is solid for economic growth and are bullish on equities, they feel the recession could be as far off as 2022. Below is the article for your review.
